Fiji Weather

Fiji has a mild climate for most of the year which makes it an ideal place to visit at any time of the year.

The weather may change slightly when traveling from island to island. Rain fall in Nadi, on the western side of the island, is usually much lower then in Suva where you can find lush rain forests

The best time to travel to travel may be in the dry season, from May to October, when the temperatures aren't as hot, and there is less chance of encountering tropical storms.

When it comes to clothing that you should bring when you come to the islands, you will probably be safe with light cotton. The cotton will allow your body to breath when in this hot climate. You will probably also want to bring a light water repellent jacket in case you encounter some light rainfall. When it comes to tropical storms that may come through the area its best just to stay inside and out of the rain altogether.

The sun is very intense in this part of the world so you must remember to always wear sunblock to protect your skin. Even when the sky looks overcast and you don't feel hot, you may be getting a nice sunburn and not even know it.

There are many types of sunscreen and sunblock available throughout the islands, so even if you forget to bring some, you won't have to worry because you will find it at the nearest hotel or resort.
